At Zaibatsu's HeadSpa, I bring over 17 years of industry experience, backed by a Diploma in Stress Management & Remedial Massage Therapy, to create a truly transformative wellness experience. There was a gap in the market for a HeadSpa for those seeking a therapeutic escape—because let’s face it, who doesn’t love a luxuriously long scalp massage?

Every session is crafted to help you unwind, recharge, and address hair and scalp concerns in a non-invasive, deeply therapeutic way. Choose from de-stressing rituals that can include a deluxe scalp massage or focused treatments for the face, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. I also specialise in TMJ Release for clients dealing with jaw tension.

Using high-quality products and techniques, you’ll recline in comfort on our imported relaxation chair and ergonomic headrest, all within the privacy of our serene suite. It’s more than self-care—it’s a sensory journey.

With a warm, down-to-earth approach and a passion for her craft, Sara delivers both creativity and care to every appointment.

Zaibatsu gives me the ability to create beautiful and personalised looks which ensures my client feels radiant and confident.

In my downtime you will find me out exploring Dunedin with my two young boys, partner and dogs.  I also love pottering away at home.

Our newest Stylist Ash brings over 14 years of experience to the salon floor, with a true passion for creating stunning blondes and seamless balayage. She thrives on transformations—whether it’s a bold new colour or a dramatic style change.

I've always been inspired by how people express themselves through their hair—it’s a powerful form of confidence and identity. Becoming a Hairdresser allows me to be part of that journey every day, combining my love for creativity - and any opportunity to talk, laugh and listen to others!

I feel like Zaibatsu has given me the perfect environment to become the best I can be as I’m surrounded by supportive, encouraging, and patient mentors who’ve shown and taught me so much. I truly feel I’m in the perfect place to grow.

Eilish first connected with the Zaibatsu family during her work experience in 2020 and has been hooked on hairdressing ever since!  She thrives on meeting new clients, mastering fresh techniques, and being surrounded by the energy of a close-knit, creative team.

I love working at Zaibatsu as it gives me a chance to express my creativity, as well as giving back to members of our community by having the ability to make them feel really good about themselves!  I also have so many wonderful opportunities to learn and be taught amazing skills, and I love working with such fun and kind individuals.
